DENVER (KDVR) — High winds have left thousands of residents without power, as energy providers shut down systems to prevent fire danger.
Those safety concerns have also found their way to Colorado roads and highways.

Colorado roads closed for safety concerns
Here are all of the roadways that have been shut down due to safety concerns involving high winds as of 9 p.m.:
- U.S. Highway 85
- Closed at the Wyoming state line (19 miles north of Nunn) at mile point 309.54
- Interstate 76
- High wind restriction between U.S. 34; U.S. 6 (13 miles west of Fort Morgan) and Nebraska State Line (4 miles east of Julesburg) from mile point 67 to mile point 184. High wind restriction for all high-profile or light trailers.
