Metropolitan Police Arrest Suspect in Southeast D.C. Shooting on Southern Avenue

The Metropolitan Police Department has reported an arrest related to a shooting incident that occurred on Southern Avenue, Southeast, earlier this year. According to the official press release, a man sustained a gunshot wound and sought treatment at a local hospital following the incident, which triggered an investigation, eventually leading to an arrest.

On the night of February 10, officers from the Seventh District were called to the 2300 block of Southern Avenue following reports of gunfire detected at around 11:46 p.m. Shortly thereafter, the victim made his own way into an area hospital, having been shot in the nearby 2200 block of the same avenue.
