Local Shoppers Alert: From Potentially Fatal Supplements to Plastic in Your Salad Dressing – Recent Recalls You Need to Know!

It’s been a busy season for product recalls, with everything from dietary supplements containing undeclared prescription drugs to salad dressings tainted with plastic making headlines. Local consumers, take note: staying informed could save you a trip to the doctor or, at the very least, a disappointing meal.

First up, a serious health alert. A dietary supplement marketed for male enhancement, “MR.7 SUPER 7000” by StuffbyNainax LLC, has been voluntarily recalled.

The reason? The capsules were found to contain sildenafil and tadalafil – the active ingredients in prescription medications like Viagra and Cialis – without being declared on the label.

This is a major concern, particularly for individuals taking nitrate-based medications for heart conditions or high blood pressure. The interaction between these drugs could lead to a dangerous, life-threatening drop in blood pressure.

If you purchased MR.7 SUPER 7000 between August and November 2025, you are urged to discontinue use immediately.

Moving from potentially dangerous pills to unwelcome additions in your pantry, Ventura Foods recently initiated a recall impacting thousands of cases of its popular salad dressings. The culprit?

Black plastic planting materials found in granulated onion ingredients supplied to the company. While the initial supplier recall began in early November, the FDA officially flagged the issue in early December.

This recall has a wide reach, affecting numerous popular products, including those sold at Costco Service Deli and Food Court, as well as some items at Publix. Among the dressings impacted are Italian salad dressing, creamy poblano avocado ranch dressing, Ventura Caesar dressing, Pepper Mill regal Caesar dressing, Pepper Mill creamy Caesar dressing, and Hidden Valley buttermilk ranch dressing.

Ventura Foods has stated that the affected products were distributed across 42 locations in 27 states. The company asserts that upon learning of the supplier’s recall, they acted swiftly to remove all potentially impacted products from the marketplace, urging customers, distributors, and retailers to check their inventory and halt further sales. They emphasized their commitment to food safety and minimizing disruption.

As consumers, these recent recalls highlight the importance of paying attention to product safety notices. Always check for recall information, especially if you have existing health conditions or regularly purchase products from affected brands. Stay safe, and keep an eye on those labels!
