Charged DoorDash driver delivered to Vanderburgh County Jail

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A DoorDash driver from Kentucky accused of pepper spraying a customer’s food in Vanderburgh County has been booked in the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Kourtney Stevenson was arrested by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office on Battery and Consumer Product Tampering charges and was extradited to Vanderburgh County.

It happened on December 7 where Stevenson was seen on doorbell camera spraying something from an aerosol can on her keychain after making the delivery and left. The incident has gone viral, so much so that it also made national headlines.

The sheriff’s office says a man and his wife ordered food through DoorDash shortly after midnight, and after eating, both began experiencing a burning sensation in their mouths, nose, throat and stomachs that lead to vomiting. After reviewing the camera footage did they see what happened.
