MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile murder suspect has been denied youthful offender status and his trial date has been set.
Mobile police detective placed on administrative leave after child sex abuse arrest
According to court documents, 21-year-old Matthew Mason Sanders pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of 22-year-old Hunter Lins, which happened in February at Alabama Bar & Lounge.
During a court hearing in March, Sanders claimed self-defense, saying Lins attacked him outside of the bar and that Sanders was just protecting himself.
