UPDATE, 12/17/25. 9:20 P.M.: Investigators with the Opelousas Police Department have identified a suspect in the shooting as Dominique Trotter.
Police have since obtained an arrest warrant for Trotter on the charge of attempted second-degree murder. Authorities believe Trotter is one of several individuals who participated in the shooting.
