Broadview mayor issues order expanding protest times outside ICE processing facility

BROADVIEW, Ill. (WGN) — Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson has issued an executive order expanding protest hours outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing center in the village.

According to a village spokesperson, via an executive order, Mayor Katrina Thompson established new designated hours for public protests on Beach Street near the ICE Processing Facility.

The new regulations will allow for gatherings of fewer than 25 people to take place daily on Beach Street from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. While gatherings of groups larger than 25 people will be allowed daily between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
