The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has extended the application deadline for disaster assistance loans to individuals and organizations in Alaska’s Lower Kuskokwim Regional Educational Attendance Area, Lower Yukon REAA, and the Northwest Arctic Borough. This extension is intended to support those affected by severe storms, flooding, and remnants of Typhoon Halong that occurred between October 8 and 13.
SBA customer service representatives are available at Disaster Loan Outreach Centers (DLOCs) in Bethel and Anchorage to help applicants with the loan process. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can also be scheduled online. The Anchorage center operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the Bethel center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for a closure from December 22, 2025, through January 2, 2026.
