WINDHAM, Ohio (WJW) – A Portage County man was sentenced to federal prison for lying about his health to get thousands of dollars in government benefits.
Michael Honaker, 55, of Windham, was sentenced to 31 months (more than two and a half years) in prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio announced on Thursday.
He also must serve three years of supervised release after prison and pay restitution of more than $432,000 to the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, more than $82,000 to the Social Security Administration and more than $22,000 to the Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority…
