WASHINGTON (7News) — Just named Interim DC Police Chief Jeffrey Carroll has been with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) for 23 years.
Starting as a patrol officer straight out of Towson University, Carroll rose through the ranks, commanding the department’s most critical divisions before becoming executive assistant chief in 2023 under outgoing Chief Pamela Smith.
