BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Kaiser Permanente Southern California has awarded a $60,000 grant to the Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) to combat food insecurity. The grant will allow CAPK to purchase approximately 81,000 pounds of shelf-stable and fresh foods, translating to 67,500 meals for underserved communities in Kern County.
