CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Clarksville Police Department is helping food insecure families in Montgomery County once again Friday.
CPD’s annual Holiday Family Food Drive begins at 9 a.m. Dec. 19 at the public library on Pageant Lane, the department said. The drive will last until supplies run out.
The event is the brainchild of CPD Officer MarShun Cox, who started the food giveaway three years ago as a way to help ensure families in the community have food during the holiday season.

“Growing up, I watched my mother work extra hours every Christmas to keep food on the table, pay the bills, and still find a way to give us something to smile about,” Cox said. “That experience never left me. Today, through this food drive, I’m proud to stand alongside my department and our local nonprofit partners to help ensure families in our community don’t have to face the holidays hungry or alone.”…
