Creedmoor city officials find a lot to like in recent water testing results even as they seek to expand testing and address ongoing water quality concerns.
“All test results were either within the Secondary Maximum Contaminant Levels or ND (none detected) with the exception of one,” City Manager Mike Turner said in regard to city of Creedmoor test results from PACE Analytical Inc. for Nov. 19. “That location was 207 Forrest Lane, which reflected a fraction (+0.03) of elevated levels of iron. The reading was 0.33 and the maximum level is 0.30.”
Creedmoor Mayor Antwane Downey, who campaigned on addressing water quality concerns in the Muncipal Election in November, said he is generally pleased with the test results but views the matter as a work in progress…
