KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knoxville Police Department is investigating after they said an 11-year-old died after accidentally shooting herself.
KPD said officers responded to a house on Vada Circle around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday. There, they found an 11-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound. She later died from her injuries.
According to KPD, at this point, the investigation has not found any evidence of foul play. KPD believes the gunshot wound was “self-inflicted and the result of an unintentional discharge,” pending examination from the medical examiner’s office…
