Plans for new Nicholasville subdivisions stir debate at commission meeting

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Members of the Nicholasville Planning and Zoning Commission met with residents on Tuesday night to discuss plans for a proposed new subdivision near Keene Road.

During November’s meeting, residents from nearby neighborhoods raised concerns about traffic, a lack of sidewalks, and rainwater runoff connected to the project.

On Dec. 16, city planners focused on changes to the proposition, including the addition of a basin that would address runoff and flooding in the area. The issue had supposedly been tabled in November.
