‘9-1-1: Nashville’ brings jobs, signals growth for Tennessee’s entertainment industry

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A major television franchise is bringing new jobs and millions of dollars in economic activity to Tennessee as the entertainment industry increasingly looks beyond traditional production hubs on the coasts.

The production of “9-1-1: Nashville” has already created more than 600 jobs and generated an estimated $50 million in economic impact statewide, according to the Tennessee Entertainment Commission.

“Nashville is a character, and Nashville itself carries a lot of weight,” Tennessee Entertainment Commission Executive Director Bob Raines said. “It’s a city that audiences recognize, and it brings authenticity to a show like this.”…
