PENSACOLA, Fla. — Finding affordable housing is an issue nationwide, including right here in Northwest Florida.
Now, the Catholic Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee is stepping in to help with nine new tiny homes on Garden Street in Pensacola.
“A lot of times it’s hard for people to keep up with the rents, especially our senior citizens, because they are on fixed income,” said Ray Aguado, deacon for Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee. “I do ministry for homeless, and I’ve met quite a few in my ministry who have been basically priced out of their homes because they can’t keep up with the rent.”…
