Keeping the magic alive: Pinewood’s holiday elf brings smiles year after year

STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — A beloved holiday tradition has returned to Pinewood Elementary School, thanks to a familiar face who just couldn’t stay away.

Former assistant principal Patty Morris, who retired last school year, is back once again as the school’s festive Elf on the Shelf.

Morris became known for the elaborate holiday scenes she creates each morning in front of the Stuart school’s car line. The display has grown into a community favorite, with parents from across Martin County driving by daily to see what new mischief the elf is getting into…
