SANFORD, Fla. (WFLA)— A Sanford Police officer was arrested on 79 counts of official misconduct and one count of organized fraud after creating fake off-duty details, then charging the City of Sanford.
Ronny Neal was arrested after the City of Sanford’s Finance Department began reviewing and recording unpaid vendor accounts associated with off-duty details in July 2024.
According to the Sanford Police Department, while reviewing unpaid vendor accounts, discrepancies and negative balances were discovered in the finance department.
