Universal Orlando Resort faced a nearly $12,000 fine after one of its employees was severely injured during routine maintenance on a popular ride.

According to a publicly available Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) records first reported on by Florida Politics, the incident occurred on April 24, 2025 at the Orlando, Fla., resort’s new Epic Universe theme park, which was offering guest previews ahead of the official May 22 grand opening.
