VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Sokim Om pleaded guilty and was sentenced Wednesday on multiple charges, including shooting in an occupied dwelling, destruction of property, and animal cruelty, stemming from a 2024 case.
The Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office confirmed Om was sentenced to 5 years with 4 years suspended for shooting into an occupied dwelling. For destruction of property, Om was given five years, with the entire term suspended. The charge of cruelty to animals resulted in a 12-month sentence, which was entirely suspended as well. This leaves him one year to serve.
