NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation announced a holiday trash and collection schedule for residents on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
For residents and eligible properties outside of the French Quarter and Downtown Development District, there will be no curbside trash or recycling collection on Thursday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day.
Due to this change in schedule, residents and businesses are advised to plan accordingly. Following the holiday, the regularly scheduled curbside trash and recycling collection will resume on the next service day.

Both trash and recycling collection will run a day behind schedule for the remainder of the holiday week.
- Trash and recycling for Thursday, Dec. 25, will be collected on Friday, Dec. 26.
- Trash and recycling for Friday, Dec. 26, will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 27.
