Third brother charged in deadly St. Louis car break-in shooting

ST. LOUIS – A 16-year-old is being charged with murder after one of their cohorts was killed during a car break-in earlier this year in the Carondelet neighborhood.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened on May 1 in the 6300 block of Vermont Avenue.

Police said Aeyion Barnett was with a group attempting to break into cars when a resident on the block interrupted them. The resident was armed and discharged their firearm to startle or scare the group…
