The truth is, most of us don’t need a fortune to make a meaningful difference. When many people do a little, fewer people have to do a lot, and that’s exactly how real change happens.

Right now, you can be an active part of improving life for animals at Lubbock Animal Services, and it starts with something simple: learning how to help the right way.

How to Get Involved With Lubbock Animal Services

Tonight (12/18/2025) at 5:00 p.m., Lubbock Animal Services is hosting a volunteer orientation, and it’s designed to be informative, low-pressure, and respectful of your time. This isn’t a hard sell, and you’re not signing your life away. The orientation explains what LAS does, where help is needed, and how volunteers can safely and effectively contribute.

There’s no obligation to commit, and you don’t even have to stay after the initial presentation if you decide it’s not for you. All they really ask is that attendees dress appropriately for safety reasons: closed-toe shoes, long pants, and no cut-offs or tank tops.
