SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — KELOLAND News is learning about a number of charges in connection with crimes behind South Dakota prison walls.
Cole Waters, Creighton Cockerham, Elgin Logg, Jr., Kvaughn Elliot, Monterion Winfrey and Vilas Fallis Jr. are already serving prison sentences in Sioux Falls. And, according to new court documents they’re all accused of breaking even more laws while in custody.

There have been about two dozen inmate deaths within the South Dakota DOC system this year. Four of these deaths have been drug overdoses. Four others are still being investigated.
