SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — As completion of the Salt Lake Temple approaches, the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints toured the building amid ongoing renovation.
An open house to tour the temple, and the surrounding area, is expected to begin in April 2027, and continue through October of the same year.
Visiting church leaders including President Dallin H. Oaks, his wife, Kristen, President Henry B. Eyring, President D. Todd Christofferson, and his wife Kathy, along with the Presiding Bishopric.
The tour came as the renovation project enters its final phase. The group visited multiple spaces in the temple including one of the two baptistries and the marriage-sealing rooms, among others.
