CLARKSTOWN — An Albany man was killed Thursday on a Thruway exit ramp after State Police said he stopped his car and was hit by a vehicle driven by an off-duty New York City police officer.
The troopers said the state Attorney General’s office was alerted about the 4:40 a.m. crash at Exit 14 that killed Bravo Nondo, 45. State prosecutors investigate when a death or injury involves a law enforcement officer.
State Police said Nondo was southbound when he pulled off the highway at the exit in Rockland County. Nondo walked to the rear of his vehicle “for unknown reasons,” the troopers wrote in a news release…
