Bishop animal shelter cuts ribbon on $12M expansion

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Bishop Animal Shelter is one step closer to an all-in-one hub for pet care and adoption, after a ribbon cutting on Wednesday.

“It’s time for a new chapter and to provide better care for our animals,” said Sarah Brown, director of community and veteran services for Manatee County.

The $12 million expansion starts with added kennel space which will bring their maximum capacity up by 120 dogs…
