Lifesavers arrive: Lee County rec installing 5 AEDs at parks

A familiar sight will soon greet visitors to several Lee County parks.

Five automated external defibrillators — known as AEDs — are being installed outdoors at parks and recreation locations. The move is part of a broader effort to increase access to lifesaving equipment, according to a community announcement.

In total, Lee County will have 258 AEDs deployed across various facilities, including parks, libraries and county administration offices. This expansion aims to enhance public safety and increase the chances of survival during cardiac emergencies.
