Butner Public Safety arrest one, searching for four others wanted for armed robbery

Butner Public Safety officers are searching for four men they believe are connected to the Dec. 14 armed robbery of internet gaming business, Skillz, on N.C. Highway 56 in Creedmoor, Butner Public Safety said in a press release.

After responding to reports of the armed robbery, officers found that, “two masked individuals had entered the establishment and robbed the business at gun point and tied up two of the employees taking an undisclosed amount of money,” the release said.

The officers were able to determine the license plate of their vehicle, leading to the arrest of 55-year-old Christopher Stewart, who was found to be the only occupant of the vehicle. Stewart was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon, and was also served with outstanding warrants of arrest in Wake, Randolph and Davidson counties…
