Nearly one year to the day after a deadly crash on Stevens Creek Boulevard that killed one man and sent a woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, the driver of the other car has been arrested and charged with homicide and reckless driving. On Dec. 15, 2025, Santa Clara police arrested 21-year-old Kevin Alexander Alvareztostadorizo of San Jose.
On Dec. 10, 2024, Santa Clara police say the then-20-year-old Alvareztostadorizo was driving a pickup truck west on Stevens Creek Boulevard near Tyler Street, just past the Lexus dealership at a “high rate of speed.” Officers say his pickup truck collided with an SUV that was traveling east on Stevens Creek Boulevard and making a left turn from the eastbound direction into a driveway.
The Santa Clara Fire Department provided first aid at the scene and transported the man and woman to a local hospital. The 66-year-old man died at the hospital. The 65-year-old woman survived…
