BARRICADED SUSPECT | GRPD responds to domestic incident on city’s west side

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Several streets were closed for a few hours Thursday afternoon as Grand Rapids police responded to the scene of an incident on the city’s west side.

Grand Rapids police said it stemmed from a domestic incident on Seward, near the intersection of California St. NW, and while police said they did receive reports of shots fired, nobody was hit by any gunfire.

Police said they believe the suspect barricaded themselves in the apartment. Shortly after 5:30 p.m. they shared an update saying the suspect had not been located and the investigation was ongoing…
