Fugitive wanted for attempted murder apprehended in Beulaville

BEULAVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — A South Carolina fugitive wanted on charges of attempted murder and child abuse was apprehended at a residence in Beulaville.

According to the Beulaville Police Department, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation’s Criminal Apprehension Team and BPD apprehended Lekeyia Petteway at a residence on Evans Street in Beulaville following information received regarding a wanted fugitive believed to be staying at the location.

Petteway had active bench warrants issued by Greenville County, South Carolina, for the following:

  • Attempted Murder
  • Assault and Battery
  • Child Abuse

Petteway was taken into custody without incident…
