‘I’m asking for justice:’ Man sentenced for fatal Clifford Ave. store shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man was sentenced after the deadly shooting of a minimart owner on Clifford Avenue last March.

Tony Brown was in court Friday morning and was sentenced to 23 years in prison. He must also serve five years of post-release supervision.

On March 23, 2025, 30-year-old Ali Saleh was found behind the counter of his store, Sanaa Food Market, with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he died the next day…
