Investigators seize food items suspected to contain psychedelics in Vista

VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office (SDSO) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) seized food items in Vista that were suspected of containing psychedelic chemicals.

Investigators with SDSO’s Narcotics and Gangs Division, along with CDPH agents, served a search warrant at a business in the 1400 block of Poinsettia Avenue on Wednesday morning.

The search warrant was connected to an ongoing investigation involving the “suspected manufacturing and sale of food items with psychedelic chemicals and analogs,” SDSO stated in a news release.
