Local law enforcement teams help fill shelves during Brown County food drive

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Flashing lights and filled patrol cars took center stage Friday as local law enforcement agencies joined forces to help fight hunger in Brown County.

Officers from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Green Bay Police Department and Ashwaubenon Public Safety participated in the annual Fill the Cruiser food drive, collecting donations at three grocery stores across the area.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., officers stationed their cruisers outside participating stores, inviting shoppers to purchase pre-packaged donation bags provided by the stores. Donations were loaded directly into patrol vehicles and delivered throughout the day to the New Community Shelter.

Collection sites included the Pick ’n Save on Lime Kiln Road, the Pick ’n Save on East Main Street and the Metro Market on Ridge Road…
