UPDATE: Intersection reopened after suspicious package removed

UPDATE: THURSDAY 12/18/2025 5:58 p.m.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said the intersection at Indian Pipe Circle and Westwood Boulevard reopened at around 5:15 p.m.

According to the Police, at around 3:45 p.m., the Communication Center got a 911 call about found explosives. The caller reported a suspicious package in the area of Indian Pipe Cir. and Westwood Blvd. Officers responded and closed the intersection, and the Regional Explosives Unit responded and evaluated the package.

The package was rendered safe and removed from the area. The investigation is ongoing.
