Box truck driver arrested after deadly Loveland crash

DENVER (KDVR) — A box truck driver was arrested in connection with a deadly multi-vehicle crash that took place on Tuesday, according to a press release from the Colorado State Patrol.

Investigators said preliminary information shows that the box truck, a Lexus GX, a Kia Telluride and a Chevrolet Silverado were all traveling northbound on Interstate 25 near milepost 259 during the time of the crash.

The crash was initially reported as a secondary crash stemming from a medical emergency where a driver pulled over onto the shoulder of the road.

On Wednesday, investigators said that the box truck was traveling in the middle lane, while the Lexus was in the right lane next to it.
