Boulder County residents are encouraged to make a family plan for where to meet if evacuations are required and organize an emergency bag with medications, clothing and other essentials.“We have our five-year old granddaughter with us, so we’ll be out fast,” a Boulder County resident told FOX31. Residents should monitor all emergency alerts and be aware of alternate exit routes. “We absolutely need to take this serious, to those who say it’s not dangerous potentially for (Friday) you know I’ve been in this business for 27 years as a law enforcement officer and now public information officer you know, we have to trust our partners that are in the National Weather Service with the information they’re providing right now” said Montez. Those planning travel should be prepared for delays due to public safety power shut-offs, which can impact traffic intersections.
