2 arrested after gun incident at Desert Skies Middle School

Two men were arrested Tuesday by Washoe County School District police after an alleged confrontation involving a weapon in the parking lot of Desert Skies Middle School in Sun Valley, according to the Washoe County School District.

The confrontation stemmed from a dispute over a handicapped parking space, district officials said. Both men face charges related to bringing weapons onto school property. The district has not confirmed whether either man is a parent of a student at the school.
