ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The owner and operator of ACE Lending Closet is seeking the community’s support after high-speed winds in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley severely damaged her storage structure.
“The wind just picked up. It started Friday, but Saturday, it just got worse and worse, and then that night, my son’s night nurse said, ‘hey, your structure’s gone,’” said Tina Campbell, ACE Lending Closet owner and operator.
“This structure has been up for about three years, and it has lasted no problem with wind, snow load or anything. This wind was not the norm, and we’re not used to getting two weeks’ worth of wind.”…
