Water seen pouring from ground onto Anchorage street after hydrant hit

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Water was seen pouring out of the ground on a northeast Anchorage street Friday morning after utility authorities said a hydrant was hit.

Gallons of water were seen gushing in a video posted online along Penland Parkway near the intersection of Airport Heights Drive.

Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility confirmed that someone hit a nearby hydrant, resulting in the leak. A spokesperson with the utility said they don’t believe nearby residents should lose water…
