Salvation Army of Augusta holds distribution for Angel Tree campaign

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Salvation Army of Augusta distributed gifts through its Angel Tree campaign at the former Terrace Manor School on Tate Road Thursday.

The program has been giving gift for families since the 1960s. Each tag represents a local child’s wish list, providing toys, stockings, bikes and clothing to those who they say would otherwise be without.

“It touches your heart. It really does, because it’s just helping other people,” said Rose Brown, a volunteer. “Like, we have to learn how to do that. So that we can have that peace.”…
