As another round of winter weather makes its way through the area, PennDOT has reduced the speed limits on Interstates 79, 90 and 86 in Erie County on Friday evening.
PennDOT has temporarily lowered the speed limit to 45 mph on all three interstates and said commercial vehicles not affected by restrictions on these or other roads must move to the right lane.
Those restrictions have been applied to the following areas of Erie County’s interstates:
- Interstate 79 from Exit 166 (Route 6N, Albion/Edinboro) to the end of I-79.
- Interstate 86 from the Interstate 90 interchange to the New York state line.
- Interstate 90 from the Ohio state line to the New York state line.
