Restaurants that closed in Gainesville in 2025 included those that had been around for decades.
Here’s a look back at some of the restaurants that said goodbye this year:
Applebee’s Grill + Bar
The Applebee’s at 7441 W. Newberry Road closed in May after about 10 years in business. The casual dining chain is known for its variety of classic American fare such as burgers and fries, boneless wings and pasta. The location at 1005 NW 13th St., Gainesville, remains open.
Bahama Breeze
