Have you seen the movie “A Christmas Story?” If you have, then you might remember the infamous Bumpus Hounds — the rambunctious rascals who tear through the house and even help themselves to a Christmas turkey.
Well, you may be interested to know that at first, that pack of dogs was going to be the Bumpus Baileys, with little sweetheart Bailey as the lead dog. She’d lead the dogs through the scene with a zeal that directors had never seen before.
But after the running and the eating of turkey, when the director yelled, “cut,” and all the other dogs went back to their dog beds to rest, Bailey would still be running around…
