MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A local attorney says she’s concerned about the strain that traffic stops are creating for the Shelby County court system.
Numbers from the Memphis Safe Task Force show that more than 42,000 citations have been given out during traffic stops.
“What we’ve seen is just an uptick in people being cited for traffic tickets, and not saying the people should not be cited for traffic tickets, obviously there is a place for that,” Carlissa Shaw said…
