The clock is ticking with regard to a couple’s illicitly painted driveway at a home in The Villages.
Stanway Change and Chunjie Qu are the owners of the home at 1127 Southern Sun Drive at Creekside Landing in the Lake Sumter Landing area that was the subject of a deed compliance case heard this past week by Special Master Terry Neal at the District Office in Brownwood
A complaint was received Sept. 3 regarding their driveway which had been painted light gray without the approval of the Architectural Review Committee. The homeowners tried to retroactively win the ARC’s approval with an application on Sept. 17, but it was denied.
The couple has been granted 45 days to remove the paint or attempt to go through the petition process and try to persuade 75 percent of their neighbors to sign off on the painted driveway. Or the couple could try to convince the ARC to sign off on an application with the current paint color…
