Two indicted in homicide of 70-year-old in north Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio — Two men were indicted on felony charges, including aggravated murder, in the fatal shooting of 70-year-old Scott Hirschfield, who was found shot inside a home in north Toledo on Dec. 12.

According to Lucas County Common Pleas court documents, 21-year-old Marcus Vice and 35-year-old Tywone White were each indicted on the following counts, each of which carried a 3-year firearm specification:

  • Aggravated murder
  • Murder, two counts
  • Aggravated robbery
  • Felonious assault

Hirschfield was found shot inside of a house on North Ontario Street between Elm and Chestnut streets shortly after 7 p.m., a Toledo police sergeant at the scene told WTOL 11.

White and Vice were arrested on Monday and booked at the Lucas County jail. According to court documents, White went with Vice to Hirschfield’s home, where Vice shot and killed Hirschfield.
