CHICAGO (WGN) – The CTA will be putting more police officers on patrol as part of its revised safety plan.
The CTA said beginning Friday, Dec. 19, the number of Chicago police officers patrolling bus and train stations will increase from 77 officers per day to 120 officers per day.
In order to supplement the increase in police officers on the system, private security K-9 staffing will also increase from an average of 172 K-9 security guards per day to 188 guards, according to CTA officials…
